Spring Story Hour
Our spring story hour will start on March 16.
On March 30 we will be having a special story hour called Good Books Good Nights with Miss Adrienne from the Altoona Library. The program is part of One Book Blair County and will focus on good bedtime habits. Every child will receive a free bedtime book, and children are encouraged to wear their pjs and bring their favorite teddy... bear or other bedtime buddy. There will also be crafts and snacks. If your child plans to attend, please register by March 23 so that we may provide the correct number of books and snacks. We cannot guarantee that your child will receive a book if they are not registered. Parents are encouraged to stay for the program as well.
On April 13, as part of National Library Week, a representative from the Central Pennsylvania Humane Society will be visiting Story Hour with a shelter pet. Children will learn about the shelter and pet ownership. We will be collecting donations for the shelter as well. The shelter’s list of items they need include dry and canned dog and puppy food, dry and canned cat and kitten food, kitty litter, treats, sturdy dog and cat toys, and puppy training pads. The shelter is maintained entirely through contributions, so please help by bring a donation to story hour!
